Video/audio TS files convert to an uploadable MPEG video

Hi,
forgive my ignorance first and formost. I'm a novice at converting video files. I have done a little file converting from PPT/PPTX files to video mpeg files. Here's my problem:

I have a video on a DVD of my Mom's funeral "remembrance". The files on the disc are 2 files. 1 file is: video_ts and the other file is audio_ts

I can copy these two files to a folder on my desktop. I did this because I don't want to use the original disc for any converting since it is the only one I have.

How do I make the video and audio TS files into useable files so I can make an mpeg file of the video to upload to the internet? I'm assuming the funeral home uses this format so that no one can upload it to the internet or easily make copies etc. Still I paid for them to make this video and I feel I own it since it is my own mother.

The video is still images of my Mom with music audio. Can anyone give me help in making an mpeg with these files?

vob2mpg. Select the video_ts folder and it will create a single mpg for each video track.
