  2. Verbatim are supposed to be the best but they are expensive.

There has been quite a few posts about it which is the best media.
I guess as a rule of thumb any branded media is good.

You may have to experiment to find the best for you

There is none. Let me explain some systems are friendly to specific CD brands and some brand hate some cd brands. Not all are the same. Price dose not mean anything. I went 8 different brands before I found a brand that works good on my CD burner and one that works on my DVD player. If you are just storing dat files it dose not matter but it dose if you are making VCDs or burning Mpegs to them it matters.

  5. I've had good luck with the $3.89 "gold" unbranded DVDs from
    http://CD-DVD-Supplies.com (Pioneer 333 and Apex 3201).

I haven't tried their $2.89 "silver" unbranded DVDs.....

  6. So Verbatim - which brand DVD-Rs do you use now?!?

The $3 Optodisc DVD-Rs from newegg.com don't work in my Apex-660, PS2 (nothing has yet, not even Apple's), Friend's Sony DVP-S500, or my roommate's Panasonic 5 disc changer - forgot the model.
