Problem viewing blu ray

Blu ray and 3d movies not playing through ps3. I have ps3 hooked up via hdmi to receiver Pioneer VSX-82TSX then to tv vi hdmi Samsung pdn4d8000. Problem is screen goes out intermittently along with sound. I have tried different cables same issue. Wondering if receiver just can't handle processing. Anyone have any ideas before I buy a new receiver? DVD and games work fine, just blu ray and 3d movies do I have issues.

Have you tried bypassing the receiver and going directly to the tv?

Yes, works fine if I go straight from ps3 to tv

The x and s are reversed don't know if that was a typo on your part or if this link is a different model. If this is it in the link it does not say it handles 3d.

When you say bluray and 3d don't work is it JUST 3d bluray movies? Can you play normal 2d bluray movies through it?

Edit - reread your post and you do say bluray also but do you just have 3d bluray only? Please confirm you can't play ANY bluray 3d or 2d through the pioneer. If thats the case then there must be something wrong with the receiver as it should handle 2d bluray apparently.
