Hi. Yeah, so I emailed aura4you shortly after I bought their product. I told them about a slight out of sync issue and asked why any video converter was the same but costed more. They told me any video converter is the same company and just to set A/V sync factor more and more until it is right. Well, I'm telling you that works but it's not perfect. I bought it 'cause it seemed to work well. I thought the problem was gone when I selected default audio sync and moved the sync factor slider all the way to 60 but it didn't make it perfect.

I've tried it on two windows 7 machines, including an expensive junky desktop that I sent in four times for repair. I finally ended up fixing that computer myself.

Anywho, the dvd copy decrypter tool works great and creates files that are good quality. However, when I bring it to aura video converter to convert it to a format for my PSP after the encoding I notice that mouths start moving and maybe just a couple to few milliseconds at worst later the talking starts. It's very weird. It doesn't seem to matter what kind of file I make although I've been doing mostly mp4s with 368X208 resolution, 29.97 frame rate, default sync 60. I've tried basic and that will make it out of sync by like 20 seconds. It does it on both of my windows 7 machines as well. I've tried different audio sample rates, frame rates, video types, and it still doesn't get it perfect.

I've been living with it for about a week when I bought the product, but it's kind of driving me nuts. Other programs (out of like only two that actually run) don't seem to have the problem. This includes handbrake and freemake video converter. However I'm an anime watcher and I like subtitles. The subtitles appear in handbrake but they don't work when I add them to it and tell it to burn it to the video. It doesn't add them period for that matter.

    I've been converting mkv's and vob's.

I've been looking for other people that have this problem with 'aura4you' and 'any video converter' but there is not much on the net about people having a problem with it. It's odd how both my machines have a problem with it. It's the same on both pcs, mouths move then a couple to few miliseconds later(sorry I can't count) the talking starts. Basic is also awful on both computers.

I got this program at a reasonable price but I expect it to work and it's kind of disappointing when it doesn't do everything perfectly.

Any Ideas? should I just spend more and maybel shell out 50 bucks for a converter from someone else? Has anyone here ever used software from this company.

Thank you guys, and I'm sorry for my poor grammar. I hope you can still understand.

I guess you're right. The dvd decrypter works nice though. I guess it's still worth it even for that. of course free products like dvd shrink and dvd decrypter can usually get the job done though as well.

Is there anything out there though that will add the subtitles that are contained in like a mkv file? In handbrake the subs show up as available and I can tell it to add it and burn it into the video but it won't do it. I wish there was another free product I can try. I just can't be throwing money away on these things hoping they work.

Never mind format factory seems to work great. I just wish I ignored all the negative comments about it. Oh well 20 bucks for a dvd decrypter is still worth it in my opinion. I will uninstall the other aura products though.

It appears I have angered some folks, maybe the developers of the software. I think it's a language barrier thing, but I meant no disrespect ,and I think they meant no disrespect. I was just pointing out areas they could improve and I thought I was pretty fair in those two reviews I left on cnet. It's just a misunderstanding.

Anyway I thought I would report about how it's going for other people that may be interested. I think my issue may just be a windows 7 64 bit issue since it does it on both computers but here's the solution. I found that adding -delay 0.3 (or in that area) in the mencoder options adjusts the audio to make it right. I don't have to do it for all the videos but for dvd rips and some others. I also found out that I have to give it admin access and that helped a lot too. Another thing was moving the sync slider all the way to 60 and always use default audio sync. I don't know how many times I've installed and uninstalled the package but I'm beginning to think this package is the best you can get for the money, feel free to disagree of course though. I think freemake might have the edge in the sense that it adapts to any video well. I also like their video downloader but both aura converter and freemake have their strengths and weaknesses.

Anyway it's some work to get the video I'm converting right but it works! I hope more people try this product or it's parent any-video-converter. I feel like I stole it at the price they sell it for.
