  1. I have been using a Diamond VC500 and a VC600 to stream two separate video streams on an XP computer. Every once in a while when the program crashes, I cannot free up the port even by killing the processes. When that happens I always have to reboot to solve the problem.

But today I ran into a really weird port problem. I setup the VC500 to Port 1200 and setup the VC600 to port 1203 as usual. Got no error messages. But I could not pickup the VC500 at port 1200. I looked more closely at the connection panel, and it displayed the port for external streaming as 1201 instead of 1200. See this URL for a screen capture: https://www5.vetmed.auburn.edu/~branch/images/Errors/ErrorLANPorts1200_1201.jpg
I tried rebooting and even powering down, but it kept doing the same thing. Just for fun I set the other card to encode at port 1201, and then went back to the VC500 to try port 1200 again. This time it showed the Internet port as 1202.

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

    Thanks,

    Charles
