  1. I have successfully decrypted a movie to my hard drive (in a folder named Video_TS), now want to burn a backup DVD using LG burner. Nero 7 that came with burner won't let me. Nero Support says I need either Nero 10, Nero Vision or BurningROM. Downloaded free 15-day trial of Nero BurningROM this morning, but have not tried yet. Anyone have a better suggestion or will BurningROM work? Not trying to pirate, just want a backup. Thx! <Ron>

You might want to check the size of the ripped file. A regular DVD-5 holds about 4.37GB of data. Most commercial DVDs are much larger. That may be what Nero is complaining about and it wants you to re-encode it to fit. Try the freeware DVDShrink and use ImgBurn instead.

Nero is just overpriced bloatware, IMO.

You could also use a dual layer disc and most commercial rips will fit. A DVD-9 DL disc holds about 7.95GB of data.

    And welcome to our forums.
