  1. Good morning. I'm a newbie and need help!!! I've successfully converted an avi movie to mpeg. However, I'm experiencing two issues that I can't figure out:

    1. When I convert an avi file (that's let's say 700 mb) to mpeg it increases in size to approximately 1.3 gb. Is this normal. I'd like to keep the original file the same size, if not smaller.

    2. I've tried cutting the mpeg to fit onto two disks, but I don't know where in the movie to cut it. I don't see where it gives the option to cut it based upon the file size, but rather on the # of frames. How do you know what # of frames can fit on a standard cdr or cdrw?

I've used tmpgenc to convert and edit the avi -- and nero to copy to disk. I've also read the very good and comprehensive newbie guides on this webpage, but still have questions.

I'd appreciate any tips and suggestions. Thanks.

  3. if u want to maintain file size(by means of only using 1 cd) and maintain same quality, email me at locooverrider@hotmail.com we can do vcd or svcd, whatever u wanna do.

And also keep in mind, this is not xvcd or xsvcd either!! This is standard vcd or svcd, VERY compatible.

Everyday is another payday and I am one step closer to becoming the one.
