First project sony vegas pro 10. Now first minute render corrupted

Been doing my first Vegas pro project and it's been good learning the software. Finished my 8 minute test project tonight and each time I render, the first minute is corrupted with color flashes/pixels. Last rendered last night at 7 minutes and all was fine, and not changed the first minute events at all. It's really frustrating.

Might it be disk access/memory issues as it rendered the same clips fine before. Also if I render just the first minute by setting 'render looped'it works ok. Maybe I should just use another app to render in pieces and join together. Suggestions anyone?
