You want to add 44 minutes to a 2 hour+(?) video without increasing the file size ?

OK. It can be done but to do it you will need to reduce the bit rate for the video so you end up losing quality.

If you want the video 'as is' you retain the bit rate so increase the file size. Look for an option for 'smart rendering'. That should not re-encode any video.

How to 'smart render': Your project MUST match the clip(s) you are editing. Any differences and the clip(s) will be re-rendered. You can set the project properties to match a clip and then import that clip into the timeline. On the preferences tab you will see the option re long gop re-rendering. I think that is ticked by default so smart rendering should occur if all the other conditions are met.

However, you are importing more than one clip in your edit. The chances are that the properties of these clips will NOT be identical so some of these will still be re-rendered.
