I have to use OGM since my player (old cowon Q5) supports only DivX, XviD, WMV 7/8/9, OGM - and if the file is long then I need chapters.

I downloaded ogmMuxer 1.1a6 and found on the net how the proper chapter file should look like. I prepared all files: movie, audio and chapters but after muxing I got movie with audio but without chapters.

    Need help, thanks.

I'm not quite sure if it can be done with ogmMuxer so I downloaded oggMux 0.9.5.1 (had to download some additional *.dlls as well).
There is a simple gui attached - but when I press MUX FILE, program throws an error CAN'T CREATE OGG MUXER.
    Any suggestions?

  3. ogg is a container for ammetuers or newbies, not for pros.
ogg initially was developed to compete H264, but, could not maintain the pace with H264 untill x264 conquered Japan.
probably it's hard to find good tools.

yes, you are right - it IS hard to find anything.

But I have no choice since that player (cowon q5) doesn't support MKV (i tried MKV with XVID video inside but player didn't paly this).

  5. As a container MKV is the Best. It can take virtually anything XViD,DiVX, H264 (aka x264), mpg plus mp3 (lame), AC-3 or DTS into pretty egg shell. Plus... there are plenty/tons of extremely GOOD tools are available for FREE which are Virus Free as well. For video editing purpose pls. prefere HUFFYUV or Lagarith (Lossless) or XViD (lossy).
