  1. I tried to copy these VCDs (DOA) and Nero told me that I can't because the disc was copy-righted.

The disc is not a a real VCD to begin with. It's a regular home made one. So how can it be copy-righted and is their any way I can get around this?

Also, how do you make a VCD copy-righted?

  2. i don't know how a copyright would have been put on but, if you just extrct the .dat file in the mpegav folder and burn it as a new vcd you should'nt have a problem.

  3. The only thing is the mpegav folder is AVSEQ01.

Is that the .dat file that I need to extract? How do you extract it?

Yes that is the dat file that he was referring to. All you have to do is cut and paste it from the cd to a location on your hd. I personally like to use vcdgear20(you can find the link under tools) to change the dat file back to it's mpeg format. Once that is done simple drag n drop with nero under vcd and your good to go.
