What is the error message or what doesn't work right ?
What steps did you take ?
Your thread title is "reencode". What does this have to do with "reencode" ? -
English please!!!!!!!
Well, that at least makes sense......
Try starting out with what you have and what you are trying to do. -
An H264 file of Gone With The Wind and an AC3 file of a Justin Bieber video is NOT going to work.....something to do with the running time I'd imagine.

Ok.. again I am a newb and sorry for lack of info. I have a m2ts file that plays fine, but I use MKV's for 100% of my playback. I wanted to take that m2ts file and make an MKV minus some Language files. I used TsMuxeR to Demux the file into two files that I want (1) 264 file and (1) AC3 file. I tried using MKVmerge to put them back together. I must be doing something wrong because the file doesn't play right it is jerky and the audio is way out of sync. I tried different framerates with no luck. I just not sure how to get them back together (reencode) so that they work properly.

Some things you can try.
First of all, what does MediaInfo say about your original files and/or demuxed .264 and .ac3 files?
Second, try remuxing the raw .264/.ac3 files again with TsmuxeR into another .m2ts or even .ts file. Does it play well? How also would it play in an .mp4 file (using a tool like mp4muxer)? I'm wondering if it's an .mkv problem.
And speaking of .mkv problems, some problems associated with it is when the video source is either interlaced or has pulldown. MKV has difficulty handling those.I hate VHS. I always did. -

DEMUXED AC3 FILE MEDIA INFO RESULTS ABOVE -
mediainfo reports it's interlaced. As puzzler said, mkv container doesn't handle interlaced content very well. Leave it in a transport stream for best compatibility
re-encoding (+/- deinterlacing) will lower the quality and take a long time (unless you use a lossless format = huge fileszie). I think what you were asking is re-wrapping (just change the container) -
It looks like my DEMUXED AC3 is only 21min and 48 seconds.. IT SHOULD BE 1hr 36min. So no easy way to change container

Well if I have to leave it in m2ts format thats fine.. So how do I change audio streams in Win7 Windows Media Center?? I usually use this program called media control that works with ffdshow so I can select the audio I want but I have no such option when playing the m2ts file. I think its playing it natively to Win 7 WMC.. Install a filter maybe?? My player for everything is Win 7 Windows Media Center and I don't want to break functionality with all my other MKV's just to play this one file.. Any suggestions. OH and THANKS To all that have replied. So far this is the best forum I have ever used for video related info.
