I am a college coach and need help making better use of my time when it comes to video editing. Here is my current process, please let me know if there is anything I could be doing better to save time:

Our games are generally about 2 hours of footage.

Importing video straight from camera (home games and practices):
Import straight from our camera into iMovie '11 - this is nice because I can manually check the clips on my camera I want to import and just walk away; plus it is faster than importing at real time.
    Edit in iMovie '11
*Would like to post the cut-ups on my MobileMe iDisk for my players to access online on their own, but I need to convert the movie from iMovie to a smaller size to do so - would like to do it without losing too much quality and make it so my players can download the videos onto their own computers. Need help with this!

Importing footage from DVD (away games - we do not film them ourselves and our opponents just give us a DVD copy of the game):
Right now I either use MpegStreamclip to rip the DVD; the problem is when the DVD has multiple chapters I have to do each individually and this is time consuming.
Or I use a Canopus converter box and import from my DVD player into iMovie; the problem with this is that I have to keep checking back for the footage to be done or else iMovie will keep importing from the menu screen and eat my hard drive up.
*Is there a better program than streamclip to rip the DVD (none of them are copyright protected or anything) so that it does the whole thing at once and can be imported into iMovie or does anyone know of a way to import from a DVD player into iMovie without going real time and needing to stop it myself?

I know this a lot of information and questions, but anything that can save me time at this point would be a big help, thanks!

    Yes this step is correct.

On this step your going to go to Share-->Export Movie and choose Mobile as the setting for export, which will be a good
size when done to upload to iDisk, as well as decent quality to playback on the computer. It will be Mpeg-4, which should open
natively in iTunes on the computer that it gets downloaded to.

Not necessarily. in MpegStreamclip, you choose Open DVD, navigate to the inserted DVD, ( or ripped DVD folder on the HD)
and it will open the Whole DVD. You then simply "Fix TimeCode Breaks" in MpegStreamclip ( Edit-->Fix Time Code Breaks)
and it will repair the structure that all chapters will playback seamlessly in it's editor window.

    Simple step to use:
    1. Insert DVD
    2. Copy DVD to HD ( option key + drag the DVD on the desktop)
this will make a copy of the DVD to the Desktop
    3. Use Mpeg Streamclip as stated above.

    To then import into iMovie

    4. With the DVD opened in Mpeg Streamclip, and Time Code Breaks fixed, simply Export from Mpeg Streamclip
as a DV Stream file ( File-->Export to DV Stream).
    5. When done, import the DV Stream file into iMovie.
    6. Edit as normal in iMovie.
