    I´m using Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 to edit HD-mp4-files imported from the camera Flip Ultra HD. When playing the files in the program, the film does not "flow"; it is shown in short blocks and after 10 seconds the program shuts down.
    Does the program need additional HD-codec or what?

    Any HD video requires lots of processor raw power to work with and i see you are using Athlon 64 3400, so its going to be super slow. I am sorry to say but its just not possible on that system, unless you are using some other pc to render your videos.
