    Hi,

about 2 months ago I updated MeGUI to the latest version, which is 0.3.5.0. Since then, I noticed some weired things regarding the ripping process.

Usually, I extract a bluray movie with eac3to as mkv and create a AviSynth script for that, while setting the source type to "Progressive". When I'm unsure, I let automatic analyse detect the source type. Nowadays, this function detects unusual source types: very often it is "M-in5 decimation required" and deinterlacing method is set to "Tritical decimate". When I accept this, I get a weird frame rate in Bitrate Calculator, e.g. 14.xxx or 19.xxx. And that can't be right, because the resulting MP4 (x264 encoded) does stutter as it is indeed encoded with 14 fps. Any idea's what's wrong here? Just a bug?
Moreover, why would a progressive source need deinterlacing?

Anyway, if I just set the source type to "Progressive" while ignoring the analysis the framerate is just fine. But the resulting video shows a lot of artifacts. This is really strange because I've never had artifacts in the output produced by older MeGUI versions. Maybe I should mention here, that the new MeGUI version brings new x264 presets.

For playback I've been using MPC HC with ffdshow-tryouts. Just updated to the latest versions, but that didn't help. Artifacts are still there. I uploaded a small example: http://rapidshare.com/files/420215726/sample.mp4

Any idea, what it could be?
