  1. My nephew has a Asus Netbook (no DVD-ROM) and I bought him a video program that I installed on my Desktop, I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is possible that I drag/move the program from my Desktop to my Flash Drive to install it on his Netbook via USB ? And could you tell me how to do it if it is possible ?

    Thanks in advance,

    TC

  2. Write the CD to USB stick and use the stick to install.

  3. drgt, thanks for the quick reply.... I'm not close to a expert and do you mean, put the CD in and cancel the install ? Then do I drag and drop it from the D: drive to the flash or what ? I'm getting better, but sorry for being so clueless.

put the cd in the tray and close it....click on the my computer icon...in there you'll see your OS disc..xp or whatever it is...right click over it and click on "explore" or "open'..when it opens you'll see all the files it takes to install the OS...go to the top of the window and click on the "edit" button and go down to the "select all" function and click on it...all your files will now be highlighted blue...right click over the highlighted files and click.."copy"...now go to your thumb drive and open it up and look inside..i would make sure its clear/empty..right click anywhere in that window and click on.."paste"...should take a few minutes

plug the thumb into the netbook and see if it sees it as an install disc

  6. Thanks you guys for your reply...... All is good ! I can help and answer some questions on our Forum. Now I need to search out the thread that will tell me a good internal Blu-Ray DVD Burner, the best software, and the best blank Blu-Ray disc's to make backup copies of my movies, live concerts, and data. I DO NOT sale disc's.... I want all to know that up front, but I do backup. I'm disable and don't get much money from our Disability folks, so I know all that I mention will take along time to save up for after buying my new Blu-Ray machine!!!

    Thanks again,

    T
