What is the proper way of connecting the VCR to DVD so i can make a copy of cd or dvd i am watching to VCRs? I tried a couple and didnt work.
All protection in my apex are turned off.
Do i connect my VCR to DVD then VCR again to tv?
Thanks

Yep, but if watching a DVD you are going to have macrovision protection kick in, and you will have to have your VCR on all the time when you want to watch DVD.
I bought a cheap switch box from Radio Shack and plug everything into it and then one set of cables out to TV/Stereo. I can switch from device to device, plus it has a copy button where the signal can be sent to my VCR from any other source (need VCR with AV in and out). So I can watch DVD without having the VCR on or having macrovision kick in...and I can make copies of SVCD/VCD/and unprotected DVD to VHS by pushing the copy button.
Neat O.
Oops, didn't notice the bit about protection being turned off on your Apex. Yeah, you can just connect DVD to VCR to TV and ignore my lengthy bit above =)
