I will be getting some 300 MB mpegs over the next few months and I was wondering if I could just burn them as they come to a dvdr left unfinalized so I can watch them in my dvd player and add the others as I get them. I dont want to waste a bunch of dvds for 300 mb files. Burn them as data?
I have an RCA drc8052. It plays divx and mp3 and such.
Another question for linux users: What would be the best software to use? I cant recall ever seeing an option to finalize or not to finalize in brazero. Ofcourse Ive only used it to rip an iso and burn it.
Thanks,
Julius

Short answer - Most likely No. Very few (I haven't seen one yet) standalone players will ready multi-session discs correctly. Most will read only the first or last session written, even once finalised. Either use a DVD-RW until it is full, then copy the whole to a single session DVD-R, or wait until you can fill a disc.
