ive noticed evan with the regular MPC and the latest MPC-HC that my audio is fading in and out i have the audio setting on normalize + regain volume and the boost setting is normal . do i have a setting wrong what would make the audio decrease and increase well fade in and out like it does? does it have something to do with the audio switcher setting or maybe a codec i need to change? any help would be appreciated.................all im watching is avi's (movies) in general good copies to does that with all my movies

I had what sounds like the same problem. Drove me crazy.
It acts like a bad audio limiter that waffles back and forth in volume. Unfortunately I never found the exact cause. But a cure was to uninstall the audio chipset driver and reinstall. That always worked.
I suspect the actual cause is conflicting codecs. The uninstall/reinstall seems to reset it properly. It worked for a while, then when I installed a program that had some audio handling, it would start again. It's been stable for a while now, but apparently I haven't installed anything to upset it. I've seen this same affect in Zoom Player and with two computers. -
