I would like to know why I have to wait about 10 seconds before the video is starting to play? It concerns "FLV" video file format. There is a message "Opening..." on status bar. Is there any way to fix it?

    Thanks!

PS. I haven't this problem for instance with VLC.

  2. - install ffdshow
    - enable flv in ffdshow
    - MPC HC: External filters: prefer "ffdshow video decoder"

I hope this helps you, if not let me know

I already have had ffdshow with K-Lite Codec Pack.

I'm not sure what you mean: Codecs, Format -> FLV1, Decoder -> libavcodec. Is this it? (I can't see FLV only FLV1)
It do not work but thank you for your interest and help. You inspired me to look on "Internal Filters".
I marked the FLV option in "Source Filters" list and the problem was fixed... but VLC is still fraction of a second faster

    Best regards

  4. The long pause happens with some combinations of source filters and codecs. From MPCHC try going to View -> Options -> Internal Filters -> Source Filters and changing the state of the FLV reader.

If that doesn't help change the state of the Transform filter used to play that FLV file (ie, figure out what codec is used in the file and change the state of that filter).
