i just built a system for my buddy and that's the kind of board he put it...need help with anything?

I wanted to know what sort of IDE drivers are used by Windows.
I currently have a board that uses those evil miniport SCSI drivers to access IDE, and it's just awful to do anything serious on that computer because of it.
Does this Asus have standard IDE interface drivers (something that Windows will see natively), or do I have to install so voodoo IDE garbage (miniport, fake SCSI, etc).
I'm using WD and Seagate IDE/ATA100 drives, it's my old motherboard that sucks.
I can pick up this Asus board and a CPU for a song, wanting to know this in advance.
Maybe there is some other horrid quirk about the board that I'm not asking about?
Thanks for any help in this area.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

You can download the manual from the ASUS website. It states that they have 2 ATA-100 ports and 2 SATA ports. One place also states that it is an ATA-133 port. You can set it up as a plain old port or as a RAID, according to the specs and documentation.
We can get the board for $65. Not bad if it fits your needs. -
There doesn't appear to be a driver available for IDE.

Is that enough to conclude that a standard Windows driver is used?
----------------------------------
It has such a small chipset driver (1.5M) that it's hard to believe that it does much more than define the numerous functions of the chipset to Windows.
The Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility installs
Windows* INF files to the target system. These files outline
to the operating system how to configure the Intel(R) chipset
components in order to ensure that the following features
function properly:
- Core PCI and ISAPNP Services
- PCIe Support
- IDE/ATA33/ATA66/ATA100 Storage Support
- SATA Storage Support
- USB Support
- Identification of Intel(R) Chipset Components in
the Device Manager -
very thanks
