TMT3 is suddenly rebooting my computer when I start the program. I tried re-installing and loading the most recent update with no luck. I'm running Windows XP-Pro-SP3. Last week I made the mistake of activating Windows updates. I tried to select only security updates, but I started having script errors on web pages so I turned them off but the damage was done. AVG had an update which I installed today but it seems unlikely that would do it.

  2. Tried re-installing your video drivers? From your details, it seems you have an ATI card.

My own experience is that I have to re-install the video drivers every 5-6 months when TME starts going whacko, to the point of sudden reboots sometimes. Re-install (or update to latest drivers) has always fixed it. Mind you, there's a long history of somewhat buggy ATI drivers, and they don't seem to play well with Arcsoft. Anyway, for some reason the video drivers get corrupted after a while. A couple times here folks have asked about problems with the TME capture module and the common denominator has been ATI card/drivers, and re-install fixed it.

Yeah, your problem is with TMT, not TME, but it's worth a shot. Good luck.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

I installed the latest ATI/AMD drivers but it did nothing. Still reboots my computer when I start TMT.

  4. To see windows blue screen error deselect “Automatic Restart” under “System failure” link here
and run again TMT3 to see error message
replay back with error message info
Or run BlueScreenView to view BSOD crash history list.

Auto restart is unchecked. I'm not getting BSOD,the computer is instantly rebooting,no blue screen.

    settings...control panel...administrative tools....event viewer

read the event viewer and see which dll is causing it...usually if everything is running well and all of a sudden u start getting bsod's..it's a new dll or a driver

It was the AVG antivirus update that caused TMT to reboot my computer. I uninstalled AVG and TMT is now working correctly. I installed Avira.
