Friends!
Like many of you, I too have children, it is so amazing to capture those wonderful moments of my little ones, that it does not have match with any other thing.
When it comes to burn it on DVD, it is not difficult to do it when so many softwares are avaliable to burn any formate. Whereas DVD's life is unpreditable, you never know when it got start hanging or slip.
I am thinking to perserve/archiving vidoes of my children, it is only two years and i have more than 400 gbs of vidoes, and if i trying to buy external harddrive probably i need couple of them till the time they grown up or I get old.
My question is, is there simple way to preserve the videos as longer as you can???
I have Canon HF10 HD.
Thanks alot.

DVDs are a lot more dependable than hard drives for longivity. Just use a good brand like Taiyo Yuden. At US prices, you can get 100 TYs for about $24. I would probably back up the videos to DVD and use two hard drives, both with the same files. Put one in a safety deposit box and keep the other one handy.
