    Hi, i recently discovered MakeMKV, it creates a great output, but when playing it over mediaserver, it's not seekable.. like all other videos i have..

    Can i somehow fix this? ( best would be without further encoding)

    It must have something to do with how the file is being interpreted. You might try compressing the file using handbreak and see if that makes a difference.

    Funny you'd mention Handbrake...my Media server does not like the MP4's handbrake produced so far , also not seekable.

    Hmm.. it's weird..cause it got other h264 videos, in both mp4 and mkv containers, working fine..
    The problem is when i do my own rips ..

    are you outputting as mp4? change it to mkv.

    What about re-muxing the problematic files with MKVmerge ???
