Have a DVD rip here, but two of the seven VOB files are not seekable. Is there anyway to "repair" them so they are seekable during playback without having to re-encode? Thanks

you could try vob2mpeg. it will convert them to mpg and re-write the gop timecodes. no re-encoding is done.

No seekable when played inisoltaion (i.e. by loading the VOB directly) or when played as part of the DVD (by loading the IFO file) ?

VOBs are not intended to be played in isolation. Key information is not stored in the VOBs, but the associated IFO files. If you want to play just the content without keeping the DVD structure, use VOB2MPG instead.

Edit : Sorry, aedipuss - I obviously didn't read your reply before I posted.

Thanks for the help. Yeah, I was just playing the VOB files in MPCHC. But I used VOB2MPG and was able to merge the the vob files into one mpg which works out better anyway. Thanks again.
