  1. This has never happened to me before, but when I render a 25 second project with the standard 720p preset the render box pops up with nothing progressing upward except the approximate time left.
One time I waited to see how long it could get to and sure enough it climbed to 9:54:32(10 hours) with ease, while still 0%.
I'm positive the problem isn't with the size of the video, because I have been doing the exact same thing for over 2 months now without any problems until now.
Same process, same types of video.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So I really don't know whats up. I'll list my info:

    *PROJECT*
    Preset: (HDV 720-30p (1280x720, 29.970 fps))
    Video Format: 1280x720p @240fps

    *OUTPUT*
Audio: 192 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, WMA
Video: 29.970 fps, 1280x720 Progressive, WMV, 6.3 Mbps
Output Preset: (=6 Mbps HD 720-30p Video)

    What the project looks like:

    240fps is a typo, right ?

    What version of vegas ? 9.0e ?

If you try another export format other than wmv, does it succeed ?

Have you updated or modified your setup recently (maybe software updates, firmware updates ) ?

First, your source files appear to be .avi. Is this a standard definition bump up to HD? Secondly, under *PROJECT* the Video Format says 240fps. Perhaps it's taking loads of time to multiply frames in HD. Thirdly, it appears from your output readings that you are trying to create Windows Media files in HD. You really want to do that? After all, your project preset is HDV. Finally, have you run your task manager to see what else is running in the background on your computer?

Since I have never attempted to encode a WMV file in HD (didn't even know it was possible), I have no idea how long it would take to encode it. But your settings sure look screwy to me.

    1. Why would 240fps be a typo?
In source recorder, it allows you to use a .tga capture method. In my case I captured these .avi's @ 240 fps.
This captures thousands upon thousands of .tga files(frames) depending on the fps obviously.
Then VirtualDub compiles them into .avi's using the lagorith lossless codec @ 240fps.

So they are 1280x720p HD clips rendered @ 240 frames per second, thus making them 240fps clips.
    derp.

    2. Vegas Pro 9.0

    3. Tried to .avi again, no luck.

    4. Nope.

    Please explain this.

  6. Are you using 240fps as 240fps or using them for slo mo ? (When you are exporting 30fps, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense otherwise)

Do my eyes deceive me? Your Project Preset is HDV. Your Output Video is WMV. What else is there to explain? Where will this be played back?
