  1. Hi,

    I have an video which is bigger in size and is of high resolution..

    Can i make changes with making smaller resolution and changing its size

    Even straight converters such as Xvid4psp will do this. Just add a resize filter and select the resolution you want

  7. Yeah I notcied that in VirtualDub .. I just wanted to confirm that it reduces file sizes drastically with pixels .... Since i can't do research i am at outstation .... Thanks lot

  8. Frame size doesn't directly effect file size.

    file size = bitrate * running time

    What a smaller frame size does do is let you use less bitrate before the picture breaks up in to macroblock artifacts.

    So lowering pixel will decrease size

    No, lowering the bitrate decreases the size.

  11. Lowering the frame size will NOT reduce the frame size unless you ALSO reduce the bitrate. If you encode the smaller frame at the same bitrate the file will turn out the same size.

    Yes, but again, if the resolution is too large for the bitrate, quality will suffer. Resolution has no part in the equation
