Hi, just got my PV231 card today...
All fine, but something wrong with 'Audio In'.
My A/V wires dont seem to fit perfectly in the Audio In hole, compared to the Video In ones...
Also, I get no audio until I move the Audio wire abit (but still, I can't get a consistent clear sound!!)
Is my PV231 a defect?
Or do I need to get some A/V converter wires or something?
Btw, the Audio wires work fine with my sound card.
Advanced thx~!

You most likely have the wrong audio connector. It should be a 3.5mm stereo plug, not a 2.5mm plug. It should fit firmly in the hole.

Hmmm, arghhh....
Are there such 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio converters?
Btw, nice review of the PV231... -
Bah, got it fixed/done...
*phew* for once, i thought it was a defect.
Anyway, which software is best to be used with the PV231?
The PV231's capture software?
The Ulead Movie Studio that came with it or...what?
Also, I'm capturing on WinXP Pro.
skittelsen, those registry GOP settings changes...do they apply to WinXP as well? -
I use MYFlix for Editing the the MPG files from the PV231. It works great for VCD but I found I must re-encode if I am editing higher bitrates and plan to make xVCD because of Audio Sync Problems.
