  1. Hello All.
I have just got a Cinerex 707 projector, with no intructions and after some working out, I have finally managed to get the film loaded and playback working.
I would really appreciate some help though, as the playback has an unusual issue where the top part of the film appears at the bottom of the playback and the bottom part appears on top. A sort of upside down split screen effect.
Many thanks for any help in advance.

  4. Hi there and thanks for the quick reply.
Could you be a bit more specific as I don't have an instruction book and I am not sure as to what you refer.

    Thanks.

Look, all film projectors have a framing knob or lever somewhere near the bulb and film gate housing. (The unseen end of the lens is where the film gate resides. The projector bulb is on the other side of the film gate. The gate and bulb are contained in an outer housing. Somewhere on the outside of the projector, near that housing, ought to be the framing control device.) If you don't have a manual, you'll just have to look your Cinerex unit over until you find it. You can rule out the motor control and bulb control knobs, so tinker with what's left. (The focus knob will be at the side of the lens.)

Movie projectors are not as complicated as they initially appear. Don't be intimidated.

If you still have problems, post a picture of the projector. Perhaps we can spot what you're looking for.

and as a caution, only use film you don't care much about when learning the projector. that one has a nasty reputation as one of the worst film scratching units ever made.
