  1. Good evening everyone.

I am completely new to this and am absolutely stuck, I am hoping someone can help me as I am not very good with all the technical jargon and have been trying to do this all day.

I had an AVI file containing a movie - using avi2dvd I created the following files in a folder named VIDEO_TS

    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_4.VOB

I then downloaded Nero (Lite) and followed the instructions. Put all the above files in and clicked burn to disc, which it then spent an hour or so doing.

The files were written onto the disc but I won't play in any dvd player in the house, nor on the PC.

Am I doing something wrong??? Surely it can't be this difficult

    Thanks in advance

It looks like Nero is playing tricks on you - most likely you didn't use the right setting. I would use ImgBurn instead. Choose "write files / folders to disc" from the start-up screen and drag-and-drop the VIDEO_TS-folder to the ImgBurn window and start burning.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

  4. Hi there, thanks for your message

Ok I downlaoded the package you recommended.

Not sure if it has changed slightly since but I clicked on Video DVD on the options at the top

Then I clicked ''add files'' and imported the files from the VIDEO_TS folder (only only the 4 VOB files appeared - the BUP and IFO files were not selectable)

Then i clicked ''burn Video DVD'' and it's currently processing. (1hr 46 to go)

I am assuming / hoping I have done this right and see what happens

    Thanks again

  6. No it didnt look like that at all.

I clicked on the link provided by Taskmannen and downloaded it.

Top of the program says ''Express Burn Disc Burning Software''

In any case it worked. Threw it in the dvd player and all was well for 7 minutes. Then I lost the sound, it came back on 10 minutes later but out of sync by minutes.

Surely this is not that difficult, don't think I'm cut out for it.
