Burning NFSMW to a DVD

Hello everybody. Thank you for reading my post. My question is this:

I bought Need For Speed Most Wanted for PC about a year ago and now my cd is so scratched that it is NOT playable. I downloaded the game and all the necessary files to install it. I was succesful with burning the cd to a disc but I get the error message, "please insert correct dvd."

Any ideas on how to fix it so the dvd works! Thanks!
