Did anyone test this capture device?

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/695134-REG/Diamond_TVW750USB_ATI_TV_Wonder_HD.html

I read some reviews on the internet and it seems good. But those reviews are nothing compared to real information as the members of this forum can give.
I know it won't work for HD here (the HD system in Brazil is ISDB-Tb - still looking for something though), but I'm looking for an analog capture device.
I already have a Canopus ADVC 110 and I'd like to test this Diamond product. If it's better, I may start using it for my captures.

    Thanx.

What sources are you capturing from?

What formats? NTSC-M? PAL-M? Analog Component?

    Standard def only?

Is USB2 a requirement or can it be PCI/PCIe?

Mostly analog cable (using a Pana DMR-ES15 as tuner) and VHS capture.
Don't really need to be USB. But it's new stuff, and maybe it has improvements over older produtcs.

Not much new for SD capture.

The old BT tuners capture to Huffyuv or software MPeg2.

There are the popular older Hauppauge PVR 150/250/350/500 (also external USB2) which have hardware MPeg2 encoders.

Then the more experimental ATI 550/650/750 models. ATI software is problematic but third party (high geek) options exist.

The 650 (PCIe or USB2) has a 3D comb filter for advantage from composite source. With proper software (e.g. Graph Edit) it can also be made to capture uncompressed with Huffyuv. Normal mode uses internal hardware MPeg2 encoder.

The 750 USB2 stick doesn't have the 3D comb filter but offers internal MPeg2 encoding. Hardware AVC h.264 encoding is supported when the 750 is used in combination with certain ATI HD series display cards.

Avermedia and K-World also have hardware MPeg2 cards.

In the >$750 range you get into the pro capture cards with built-in TBC (intended for VHS/Betacam)

    So I'll keep my Canopus
I had old BT tuners, Like Pixelview/Prolink cards.
Then I had a Hauppauge PVR 150 and 500 models.
    Changed for the Canopus.
Between the Pixelview and Hauppauge I had an ATI Wonder USB. AWFUL! Piece of crap!
Seems like keeping the Canopus is the way to go. Won't spend money. DV is easy to edit and I don't have anything to complain about quality.
Maybe later, when I get HD signal, I'll buy a set top box and something to capture from the HDMI output, like the Blackmagic Intensity.
    Thanx for the replies, edDV.
