The label on my Dasani water bottle states "Our company built one of the world's first PET recycling plant.". I know this has something to do with the recycling of plastic, but doesn't it sound as though are doing something awful with animal carcasses?
I always wondered what they did with the animals they put down at the veternarian's office or by the local pet shelter. They're turning their remains into plastic water bottle! Now if we could get the hospitals and funeral homes on board. Let's help the environment by donating someone we love (pet, relative, or otherwise) to our local recycling effort.
Saving the planet is everyone's responsibility.

PET = Polyethylene terephthalate. But they do need to consider the wording.
The place I used to work for supplied us with toilet paper that said 'Recycled' in big letters across the label. Recycled toilet paper. That's a scary thought.
And we used to have a local tallow works that did recycle dead farm animals to blood meal and bone meal. It was used as fertilizer and mink food, according to sources there. They also accepted domestic (Pets) for the recycling. Our people used to deliver road kill there. -
I remember seeing PET recycling ads in 1960s-1970s Archie comics!
