Hi all
I'm trying to make a cd backup of a movie i bought on the itunes store and it came in .m4v format, and I'm unable to extract the subtitles from them as they seem to be two streams (one is mjpeg and the other "mov_text"), but that's not needed as I downloaded an official .srt file that I plan to use.
So far I've tried using DeVeDe which didn't do what the settings had specified at all. What was supposed to be a full 79 minute mpeg2 with soft subs was only burned as 30 minutes of video with no subtitles whatsoever.
So does anyone know a legit recipe for svcd's WITH optional subtitles?
Thanks.

Yes, I do. It takes extinct software that only works on Win98/Win2k (only maybe could be fudged to work with XP). It won't look good (because of the mandatory re-compression using a too-low bitrate). And it will span at least 2 discs.
WHY?
You could much more easily convert to DVD or BD. Or you could just remux to a format that works with the subs you need to use and not lose quality. Or just leave it as is and use a device that is more compatible with your current material.
