  1. when i run it, it creates an MKV of just the english audio track
    no video
    i thought i followed this pretty close when i set it up

    i want english, it's a start but i need the vid too lol
    i'm using MPC HC for playback

    Maybe try MakeMKV.

    Or else post the details from your created MKV, use mediainfo, open mkv, view->text and copy the information.

  3. I tried MakeMKV but i couldn't see any files in the STREAM folder.
    I'll have to mess with it more but here is the mkvinfo

    That mkv doesn't contain any video at all.

    Shouldn't you select a folder in MakeMKV? Or the blu-ray drive.

    MakeMKV doesn't support bluray file type .M2TS
    How do i use it to make an MKV of a bluray rip?
    I've already ripped the blurays to my harddrive using AnyDVD HD.

    imo - for americans the original german audio with english subtitles is the best way to watch das boot. the english translations/voices just don't cut it. and you really should go with the 3 1/2 hour director's cut...

    that was my original plan but i saw the english DTS when i analyzed it with AEAC3
    i'll do the german DTS with english subs... if i can even get that far.

  12. Das Boot mkv worked with the english dub. i dont know why my system wasn't playing the sound this morning
    i just tried to do Bullhead with the dutch dts and english subs but the subs aren't working in mpc

    i changed some setting in mpc as per...

    toward the bottom there are some subtitle setting suggestions
