I have burnt a vcd to dvd-r and I want it to play in my Playstation 2.A friend of a friend did it and it worked in my playstation 2.I am using spruceup to author and nero 5.664 to burn. What settings should I use to burn it and still play in my ps2. My console is not chipped and doesn't need to be. This is the 4th person to bring me a dvd-r and all four worked in my ps2. If Nero doesn't do it then what software will. I already have audio_ts and video_ts folders on my drive I just need to know what program I should use to burn. Thanks in advance.

  2. I had the same problem. Try to burn directly from SpruceUp. It worked for me on my PS2. It seems that the latest version of Nero 5.5.7.8 has also corrected this bug.

Pardon the intrusion, I'm also interested in trying to burn downloaded PS2 games onto a disc. I'm new to this so I have some questions, if you don't mind answering. Where can I get DVD-R's. The downloaded PS2 games are in a ".exe" format, can I use NERO 5.5 to burn to disc directly or would I need to encode them to a different type of format? If I do, what kind? Could I use TMPGenc? Any advice and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  4. the .exe file is probably a self-extracting archive.

The PS/2 from my understanding doesn't play vcd's. I'm curious these vcd's that a friend of a friend burned do they work in a normal standalone dvd player? Or play in your pc.
