    I know this is way late but I found this on some french web page and I hope this helps someone:

    With no-disc or open tray press 'Setup' and navigate to the 'Preference page'.

    On the remote press 9653 and the 'Region code' menu will be displayed. Use 'up' & 'down' arrows to select the desired code and press 'Enter' or 'OK' and then press 'Setup' again to exit and you're all set.

    Stay Region Free!
