  1. Can anyone out there tell me the serial number of the remote control for a Scott DVD i560 please? Or do you know where I can buy one (there are a lot of different rc's out there though!). Mine got a bit squashed and I need a new one urgently. Thank you

  3. I've already tried the maker 3 times - have yet to receive a reply. It's an old model so I guess they're not bothered

You don't want the serial number. You want the model number of your old remote. Sometimes a generic programmable remote will work with your player.

  5. Thanks - so, OK, I called it the wrong thing. I just want to know how to get one so there must be some kind of model/reference/serial number I can use. The old one is long gone otherwise I wouldn't have a problem in finding the number and am now all googled out !!

Have tried 2 generic rc's - neither worked with this box and they're not cheap in Spain. I'm beginning to think it could make more financial sense to just buy another DVD player. Won't buy another Scott though since they make it impossible to find the numbers of their DVD remotes.

Incidentally, I got the serial number of the box wrong and it is serial number (which is why I said that for the remote) because that's what it says on the back. - should be DVX i560
