    A while ago I made a video with bmp subtitles using DVDLabPro, and I am wanting to convert this across to an AVI file. I have the original bmps and the sub with the filenames and timing, but all I can manage at the moment is to get the actual filename as the subtitle and not the image that I want

    Is there anyone who can help me with this, as I would like to embed the bitmap subtitles permanently into the video itself.

    DVD-lab deals with Scenarist (.SST) subtitles, which (sfaik) are not suitable for
    AVI or MKV files. You'd need to convert them to VobSub (.IDX + .SUB), I think.

    Is there a way of ripping the subtitles off a DVD, and then adding them to the avi, or turning the subtitles on permanently when ripping the vob?
