With my motherboard I'm only able to use the CPU fan connection and one case fan connection.
I want to use maybe one or two more fans but I'm not sure what the cable is called that allows you to run a fan straight from the power supply. If someone could let me know what to look for or maybe provide a link to one on Newegg or another site would be great
Thanks for any help.

What? An internal Y power connector, or a 3 or 4 pin connector? I have an Antec 3 speed LED TRICOOL 80mm case fan it lets me choose the power source it has a 3 pin connector & 4 pin adapter with pass-through.

I would like to be able to use fans I already have via peripheral connector.

I see that some fans let you choose which way to hook it up, mobo or PS, but would like to use the ones I already have.

Would the Y connector drain power from any of the fans??

So you are looking for something like a splitter for the case fan connector?

The Y power connector would just transfer power from the power supply via the board in the fans as was needed.

get a multi fan power port.

I use those when the mobo only has 2 fan headers...i prefer using that instead of the molex power.
