Hi, Im pretty new to filming and editing and I have had the Panasonic HDC HS-100 for about a year now. Until recently I have been importing through Imovie, and have about a tb of footage that I have imported. Recently I got Final Cut Studio 7, and I can't figure out the proper Audio and Video settings. I shoot in the highest setting on the camera which is 17-mbps, 1920x1080, 60i. Im in the process of transfering and renaming all my footage from imovie to FCP, but have been importing all my new stuff through FCP. Ive read that the AVCHD doesn't work the best with FCP but im stuck with the camera. Any info on the settings and how i can make my picture look the best would be greatly appreciated, im a total newbie but i wanna learn!

FCP expects a conversion to a digital intermediate format. For AVCHD that is usually Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC).

You can capture to AIC in iMovie or in FCP.
