Hi!!!
Big Picture - I am looking to create training videos for my company on individual position tasks and procedures.
Details - I am looking for a software that will allow me to do the following:
* Narrations (Voice Overdubs)
* Cut/Paste Video
* Add Music
* Graphics
* Burn to DVD format
These are easily identifiable and readily availible in most software applications. What I have not specifically seen that I am looking to do is:
* I want to be able to insert "text slides" in the video footage. The best example I can give is the old time movies where you would see live footage, then a slide that would show the dialouge, back to live footage, back to another slide and so forth.
My specific example would be - text of task about to be seen, video of the task being compelted and then slide text reveiwing specifics of tasks.
1. What is the appropriate descritpion of what i want to do?
2. Any advice on a specific software that allows this type of editing?
Thanks
Bill

A bunch of different apps can do this, I'd suggest Sony Vegas (there are 5 or 6 different versions and price ranges, so check the features for what you need). Vegas is pretty stable. As with any new app, you've got a learning curve ahead of you.
