    Creating an image 720x480 and resizing to 720x540, FAVC menu preview shows a perfect circle.
    After the DVD is created and opening it in MPC HC, the circle is squished down.
    I'm overlooking something obvious - I hope..

    Maybe try the make circle in 720x540 and then resize it to 720x480 and use it. Or maybe FAVC creates a 16:9 menu, then make a 16:9 image.

    Thank's Baldrick, that results in the Menu Preview and MPC HC showing it squashed down.
    The reference I found regarding menus was that only 4:3 was supported.

    The test titles I had selected were tiny 4:3 AVI clips.
    When I replaced them with 16:9 clips along with the 720x480 (resized to 720x 540) menu background, the preview and the output in MPC HC were perfect circles.
