Hi, I have been trying to figure out how to get my DVD
collection to my iMac, in iTunes and then to either an iPhone
or an apple tv. Which with my limited understanding is at least
a two step process. Is their a good quality all-in-one program
that will produce good quality video when it's blown up on a 50in tv?
If not any guidance on how to proceed would be super greatly
appreciated! Thanks in advance

Do you have a Windows PC? Have you ever heard of a program called MacTheRipper? And check out a program called Handbrake.....

I have a pc and a mac so whichever one is easier to do it with.
I can always transfer the movies after the fact to the iMac if need be -
CHeck out the program called Handbrake after you rip the DVD to your HDD. there are a bunch of guides on this site for it. Here are a few:
