    Hello Everyone,
    I am your newest "newbie"!
I have a problem playing DVDs recorded/burnt on my pc, on any other player. I can play them on the pc but they are not recognised and will not play on my other 'in-house' DVD players.
I used to have Nero 6, but since I upgraded to W7, the Nero programme is not compatible - in fact Nero tell me that nothing from and including Nero 8 downwards is compatible with W7.
I have tried DVD Shrink and Decryptor, CD Burner XP and VLC - all will burn but none of the finished DVDs work on the other DVD players.
Any advice will be gratefully received.
    Thanks
    Colinito

    VictoriaBears and Lowellriggsiam,

I have just successfully burnt the DVD onto a TDK DVD-R 4.7 GB using imgBurn.

It plays beautifully on my pc. However, like all the rest - it Does Not Play On my DVD appliances in the rest of the house.

I now give up. I have used up 5 DVDs and have had no success at all. I am no longer prepared to TRY any other options!

My final option is a very tedious one. I have a Combo and I shall copy the DVD onto a Video tape and then, copy the video tape onto a DVD. This takes as long as the DVD lasts - to the Video Tape and to the DVD. It will loose some resolution as it is transferred onto a VHS tape, but no matter, It will end up on a DVD!

Thank you all for your input.

I shall now consider the thread unsolved but Closed!

    Colinito
