  1. Hi guys! Im new to Avidemux....

    ------
    just to be sure,
will Avidemux let me Split/Join avi files without re-encoding them?
so basically making the process loss-less?

also, when fixing the "audio out of sync" of an avi file,
will i need to re-encode it?
Or i can make this process loss-less too?

    oh and,
when Avidemux splits an avi file in lets say 2 parts,
if i rejoin them back together,
would i notice it when i watch the video?

    1. Yes. Be sure to choose copy under video and audio.
    2. No, reconversion.
    4. Yep, but only for avi files. Avidemux also supports mpg, mp4, mkv lossless cutting/joining...but it can be a bit buggy and crash now and then.

2: loss-less and not losing quality isnt the same.
it will copy the audio/video. it will look exactly the same as the source.

3: if you split them on a key frame and join them again, then no, you wouldnt notice.
