I want to burn menus and chapters, and TSCV appears to be the best. Yet, I can't get TSCV, Ulead Movie Factory or Fireburner to actually burn. Other programs burn fine - VCDEasy, Feurio!, and the Roxios (EasyCD 4.05 and DirectCD, both which I removed, then cleaned out with Feurio tools).

TSCV sometimes runs through its burning sequence, and sometimes not, (with bin/cue files) then "E/H Fehlen" (the German translates to "I/O Absent") is the message.
Ulead runs through its entire sequence, as if burning, then displays "Drive not ready."
Fireburner runs through its entire sequence and claims success.
In all of these, nothing appears on the CDRW (on Windows Exploring or on my Shinsonic DVD100a, which does play the VCDEasy CDRWs), yet the CDRW needs to be erased before any of the programs will start. I've done all this in both VCD and SVCD.

I've udated the ASPI, updated my LG 8080B burner to the v1.07 driver and upgraded my Dell Dimension with PIII 500 to 256k RAM.

Anyone have ideas what might be missing in my system or methods?

More data on programs that refuse to burn. Programs used are all downloaded within 30 days:
TSCV is v0.84 Rel1 (I can't figure out how to upgrade to r2).
    GNUvcdImager is v0.7.12.
    Ulead is the trial version.
    Fireburner is 2.1.7.
CDRW is "unknown" in Feurio! test; CDRW is labelled CompUSA, where I bought it.
    TMPGEnc is 2.5.1.33.
    CDRDAO is v1.1.5.
    VCDEasy is v1.0.7.
Lots of other graphic programs are installed, but these are not opened during burning.
I'm using very short MPEGs (8 seconds, 14 seconds) until I get it working.
Zone Alarm is installed, with Internet is locked out.
Norton Anti Virus is disabled when I do the burning.
My mother's maiden name is...hey, wait a minute!

Anything else I should tell? As a 2-month newbie in this, I'm unsure what's relevant in this.
