    I have an hour long project that I'm adding subtitles to. Right now, all the subtitles have been keyed into a text file. No timing yet.

    I'm currently working on a Mac with Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro.

    In the past (on PC) I've used Subtitle Workshop to avoid Encore's janky subtitle interface.

    What's the recommendation for Mac? Should I cross my fingers and try doing subtitles right in DVD Studio Pro? Or is there a good third party software that does a better job?

    Take the text file into Jubler, Subtitler or TitleLab.
    Format your time to match a DVD Studio Pro timeline.
    Export out as STL file, import that into DVD Studio Pro.
