Hi all, newbie here. I bought a music cd that came with a video cd. I want to put the videos on my mp3 player but windows media player won't rip them. Is there a way I can get these videos on my mp3 player from the cd that I bought? Thanks, Genevive

Is this video a vcd, or what format exactly? If it is in fact a video CD by browsing the CD there should be a MPEGAV folder in it. If you find this folder drag it to your desktop. Inside you should find files such as AVSEQnn.DAT. Simpy rename this file whatever.mpg and you should have a playable video file.

How old is the 'video' CD? Does it play on a DVD player?

The reason I'm asking is because at one time, there were hybrid CDs with Laserdisc video released.

If it's from within the last few years, you probably don't have anything like that - but can you see the entire contents of the disc, including the videos?
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

if it is a sony release with a cd/dvd disc, it may not play on ye ol pc. You need to get anydvd (it has remove audio cd proctection features) and rip it with EAD to have a good copy.
if all else fails read the manual

It's a music cd that I bought with an extra cd of videos on it from the band. I think this music cd was released in 2006. When I clicked on the properties for the video cd, under the general tab it says Type CD Drive, File system: UDF. This music video cd plays fine on my vista, I never tried it on a DVD player. Hope this helps. Genevive

  6. They are probably MOV or WMV files, drag the videos to your desktop and use MediaInfo to see what they are. Hopefully they don't have DRM so you can use Any Video Converter. If you want to use on your portable then you need to know what files and resolutions it supports, most play 320x240 WMV.
