This is the first time I've ever done this and want to make sure I do it correctly. I'm using DVDauthorGUI 1.010c. And, I have a foreign-language film for which I've acquired English (sub/idx) subtitles. I want to create a simple title screen giving viewers a "with/without" choice of seeing the film with subtitles or seeing it without subtitles. Outside of setting up chapters 5 minutes apart, I'm not going to do anything else during the authoring process "except" adding this title screen menu choice. In any case, I've never authored such a choice before and wondered if there was a simple process to do this with DVDauthorGUI 1.010c.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

    Regards,

I'm not sure if it's possible in the dvdauthorgui but in guifordvdauthor you can create a submenu with subtitle selection, http://download.videohelp.com/gfd/Help/UsingSubmenus.html

I've been meaning to give that software a try. Now I have a reason (grin). Thanks for the info.

Yea, you can do exactly what you need with DVDAuthorGUI. From the menu editor, choose 'advanced'. Once selected, you can now choose which audio or subtitle stream is played.

GFD might handle it better than DVDAuthorGUI does, but I thought I would at least through that out.
